Leslee Wood is a singer, composer, conductor, and teacher of vocal music. Currently, she is pursuing graduate studies at the University of Kansas in Musicology.
As a composer, Leslee recently premiered a set of choral works performed by the KC VITAs Chamber Ensemble for their Inaugural Concert (read reviews by KC Metropolis and Kansas City Examiner). Later this year, Ancora Chorale will perform another set of her works as part of their 2015-2016 season.
She is an active performer and can be heard singing with the Schola Cantorum of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception of Kansas City. She has appeared with Te Deum Chamber Choir, the Kansas City Chapter of the American Guild of Organists Schola Cantorum, Canticum Novum, Consort, Midwest Chamber Ensemble Summer ChoralFest, and KC VITAs Chamber Ensemble. She has conducted choirs both in the United States and abroad, including the International Childrens Choir of Columbus, the China Hong Kong Mission Choirs, and various church choirs including the St. George’s Choristers of historic St. Mary’s Episcopal Church located in downtown Kansas City.
